“I grew up in a small town in New Jersey, playing soccer, basketball and softball. As I got older I focused on soccer and played all year round all the way through high school, realizing I always wanted to be involved with athletics. I ventured south to Florida where I attended the University of Tampa. During my time in Tampa, I was honored to be able to work with NCAA Division 2 athletics, specifically the nationally ranked baseball team at UT. Additionally, I had the opportunity to intern at two different high school settings and different medical settings. After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training, I moved out to Arizona, where I chose to further my education at A.T. Still University, pursuing my Masters of Science in Athletic Training.”
Benjamin Franklin High School
Born and raised in Modesto, Ca in the central valley of California. Graduated from Cal State Fullerton class of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and now pursuing a Master’s degree in athletic training at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Az. In high school, I was involved in many sports in high school including soccer, track and field and cross country as well as being a member of the dance team. I understand what it is like to be a student athlete and enjoy working individually with athletes to help get them back competing in what they love. When I’m not working, I enjoy being out in nature either camping at the lake with my family or hiking with friends.

Kristen Goetz is a BOC certified and Arizona licensed Athletic Trainer. She obtained her Bachelor of
Science degree in Athletic Training from California State University, Fullerton. She is originally from
Central California and now resides in Mesa, AZ.
When not traveling, Kristen enjoys watching TED Talks and spending time with her dog, Bailey.
Philosophy of Ministry: I want my student athletes to be prepared for the challenges they face both
physically and mentally for the sport they play. I hope to instill a sense of confidence within the students
at Valley Lutheran High and believe that they will grow to become exceptional young adults through
their experiences as athletes.

“I grew up in central Washington and received my bachelor’s of science in athletic training from Whitworth University. I will be moving to Arizona to attend AT Still University for my master’s degree. I have had multiple clinical experiences in undergrad, but working with a professional junior hockey team has been my favorite so far. When I have some free time I like to go outdoors and do some biking, hiking, or go out on the water.”

“I grew up outside of Chicago where I received my degree in Sports Massage Therapy. Afterwards I moved to Phoenix where I attended Grand Canyon University and received my bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. During my time at GCU the majority of my experiences and opportunities were working with collegiate athletics, including ASU’s men’s Ice Hockey team. I currently am starting my second year at A.T. Still University, pursuing a Masters of Science in Athletic Training. My research interests focus around concussion. I am currently collaborating with fellow colleagues on a vision study looking at acute visual deficits post concussion in the pediatric population. Fun fact: I have a Siamese cat named Watson who can open up doors.”
